![]() ![]() has been superseded by Proto Input, which is part of Nucleus Co-Op. My final word here is that although the (*EDIT*) CURRENTLY (*END-EDIT* :P ) UNMODIFIED single player storyline of HL1 does not allow for the consideration of co-op play, I am in agreement that a co-op mode would be a good idea. Half Life supports keyboards, mice and controllers so you can use any combination. So, if you are going to make false assumptions and put words in my mouth then I am going to have to stop responding further and unsubscribe from this thread. I just forgot and admitted it was my mistake after you pointed it out, I even indicated that I knew how he gets his suit after my memory was jogged by your comment which shows I have indeed played HL2! You also make the assumption that I did not know Gordon starts without a suit in HL2. It is correct to say so but that does not mean it can not be re-worked in the same sort of way as Synergy did for HL2. I correctly said that the story does not lend itself to multiplayer co-op. Ok, I will now end this as now you are resorting to putting words in my mouth that were never said by me! I never said it's impossible! ![]() Now, considering that the Synergy link you provided has no mention of HL1 you are incorrect in saying that they have addressed all the issues I have mentioned! ![]() There is only 1 suit available in the dressing room which vanishes as soon as Gordon puts it on. How to Play Half Life For Free Step 1: Go to the Sven Co-op page on Steam and download it by clicking ‘Play Game’. That may work with HL2 where Gordon already has the suit and you could have multiple people wearing the suits but in HL1 the story starts with Gordon starting work and does not have the suit on yet. Half-Life Coop is a mod for Half-Life 1 that adds a cooperative mode to the games campaign. They've found solutions for every potential issue you've pointed above and it's FREE: The same situation is with Half-Life 2 (and Episodes) and it's even possible to play with more than 2 Players thanks to the Synergy Team (COOP Multiplayer). That would solve the suit problem ) But that would also mean those other players would have to stand around waiting for the main player to do certain tasks that only Gordon can do due to his suit (like the test chamber). You could have one person play Gordon and any aditional players as security guards helping him. For example, there is only one suit for one Gordon Freeman to wear and only one person is required to enter the test chamber to cause the cascade :/ Originally posted by Galbi3000:A great idea but unfortunately the game's story line does not lend itself to co-op play. ![]()
